Alvarado Public Library's 2017
Adult Summer Reading Club Guidelines
 
(Age: 18 years and up)



Read whatever you want to read from our library, or the consortium, and have fun! (Books must be checked out at our library.)

Minimum reading requirement = 600 minutes or 10 hours J

Earn extra READING MINUTES by participating in our Library Challenge Events Wednesday afternoon between 3:00 and 5:00pm.

Pick up your time tracker forms at the circulation desk or at any of the Summer Reading Program Presentations.
Please make sure your time tracker forms are returned to the library by
6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2nd.

 

All Summer Reading Club participants will get to pose inside our Superman or Wonder Woman figures to have their photographs taken!
 

Certificates
Every adult who signs up for the Adult Reading Club and reads at least 600 minutes will receive a special Reading Club Certificate and a surprise.

Special  Prizes
The Five Top Readers will each receive a Walmart gift Card. The prize is a $50 Gift Card. The next Top Readers will each receive a $25 gift card.

bullet Certificates & Prizes will be given out at a private Awards Ceremony & Party. Time & date to be shared with those who have completed their reading club requirements.
bullet You need not be present to win but please make sure we have your current phone number so we may notify you if you do win!

In conjunction with our Summer Reading Program theme  we will be featuring new genre fiction (Fantasy, Inspirational, Mystery, etc.) as well as nonfiction books on many different subjects. We will be ordering new books all summer and we hope you will remember to make requests for your favorite authors or subjects at the circulation desk.
