Alvarado Public Library's 2018
Adult Summer Reading Club Guidelines
 
(Age: 18 years and up)



Read whatever you want to read from our library, or the consortium, and have fun! (Books must be checked out at our library.)

Minimum reading requirement = 600 minutes or 10 hours J

All registered Summer Reading Club participants will get to pose with our Rock N' Roll Car to have their photographs taken!

All adults who complete at least one completed time track reading form will receive a wooden maraca ink pen and a special Reading Club Certificate.

Special  Prize

With every time tracker form you complete your name will go into the drawing for a new electric guitar and accessories from Guitar Center! Please make sure your time tracker forms are returned to the library by 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1st. The drawing for the electric guitar will take place at 10am on August 2nd prize to be picked up at the Awards Party.

Earn extra READING MINUTES by participating in our Bebop Playoffs - Guitar Hero, Karaoke Challenge, and Name That Tune on Wednesday, July 18th between 11:30 and 3:30pm.

Pick up your time tracker forms at the circulation desk.  Please make sure your time tracker forms are returned to the library by  6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2nd.

Gift Cards
The Five Top Readers will each receive a Half Price Books Gift Card. The Grand prize is a $50 Gift Card. The next four Top Readers will each receive a $25 gift card.

bullet Certificates & Prizes will be given out at a private Awards Ceremony & Party. Time & date to be shared with those who have completed their reading club requirements.
bullet You need not be present to win but please make sure we have your current phone number so we may notify you if you do win!

In conjunction with our Summer Reading Program  we will be featuring new genre fiction (Fantasy, Inspirational, Mystery, etc.) as well as nonfiction books on many different subjects. We will be ordering new books all summer and we hope you will remember to make requests for your favorite authors or subjects at the circulation desk.
